 One retired Navy SEAL is making headlines over his part intimidating, part hysterical rules for dating his daughter.

Marcus Luttrell's daughter Addie may only be 2-years-old, but that hasn't stopped the 6'2'' father from preparing for the moment every parent dreads: dating.

In a Facebook post that has nearly 40,000 likes and 4,900 shares, Luttrell outlines what each future boyfriend of Addie's will have to go through in order to win his approval.

Many fathers took to the comments section to commend Luttrell, but others emphasized a daughter's right to make her own choices.

我想這個爸爸是用比較誇張的講法表示他對女兒的不捨～笑笑就好拉：）

不過說真的，當了爸媽之後，對小孩的未來真的有了好多的想像，怕她受傷，怕他吃虧，怕她被別人騙。更能理解當年爸媽對我管緊緊的心。

但是也因為這樣，更要提醒自己，時間到了，我會適度地讓我寶貝去嘗試去飛的。
